Thanksgiving Pasts......

 

Well my sister and I were having a discussion of past Thanksgivings... and we couldn't quite remember when I had last left town for Thanksgiving.  So i went down to my scrap room and took pictures of the old pictures for the past nine years.  It was fun to look back and remember and see how big the girls have gotten.  Sorry some are blurry.... i had to use no flash to avoid a glare, and was too lazy to bring all the books up and scan them :)  The first pics were taken in Idaho in 2003 and we went to John's sister's for Thanksgiving.  Kassidy was the baby then. 

 

 The next year (2004) we went to Logan to John's other sister's house and the kids had fun with their cousins.

 

In 2005 we hosted Thanksgiving at our house and invited my cousin Dave and his family as well.

 

 In 2006 we ventured back to Idaho to John's Dad's house.

 In 2007 we went to my Mom and Dad's.  and Brenda and I were both expecting babies.  I was 38 weeks and she was 25!

 In  2008 we tried a progressive dinner... We had appetizers at Brenda's, main course at Mom's and had desserts at our house. Jonas was a baby here... but not pictured... probably napping.

 In 2009 We had Thanksgiving at my Mom and Dad's house.  Brenda was pregnant with baby number two.

 Thanksgiving 2010 was back at my house.

While it should be my turn to host this year, it is up in the air.. depending on how my Dad is feeling with his knee replacement healing.

Princess and the Priesthood

 The girls really wanted to help make a cake to bring for a dessert to the YW's  dinner.  The evening was called Princess and the Priesthood.  They were to bring someone from their family with the priesthood and they also learned about etiquette that night.  We had hoped that John could go and take Desi and Brooklyn... but as always the RR seems to mess up our plans.  We invited my Dad to take the girls even if John was around.   It was the night right before my Dad went to have his second knee replaced.  He just had the first one done in Sept.  and wanted the other one done as well. 

 A day before the event Desi came down sick with a cold/flu thing that lasted an entire week, so it turned out to be just Brooklyn and my Dad.  They had a great time :)

 It wouldn't be fall without a few leaf pictures.... since then we have had some snow.. but it's almost all melted now.

Halloween Night: Trick or Treating

 The weather was so perfect for trick or treating... we had a ton of fun!

  I know it is nearly Thanksgiving and I'm barely getting my Halloween pics up... but here they are.  Lindzi decided to be a crayon .. a costume from a previous year instead of the princess costume we were planning on.. oh well maybe next year she will be the princess.

 Brooklyn wanted to be a "dead cheerleader" and how could i say no when she made the entire costume herself.. that girls has more creativity than she knows what to do with.

 Since we never know if John will actually be around for events we usually just throw something together last minute... Hence this tourist costume :)

 and i just put mine together last minute as well.... just plain old procrastination with a little bit of indecision..... we made the broom the day of... and bought the hair and tights same day too

Solvang California

we visited an old misson in Solvang, Ca called Santa Ynez

 on the mission grounds

 in the Town of Solvang....it is a Danish town meaning sunny fields

 loved the windmills

 we celebrated my birthday while there, a day early :) since we would be driving 12 hours on my birthday to get home.

I had a giant eclair from one of the many bakeries in town and it was GOOD!!!! I ate the whole thing!

Universal Studios

 We hit universal once more since we had 6 month passes.  We wore our bright shirts and got lots of comments and looks.... and it was easier to locate each other. :)
