New swing set!!!

all the girls are enjoying the new swingset today!

Desi loves the swing!

Lindzi loves the slide

Snow to greet us this morning (luckily was all gone by this afternoon)

kinda of cool looking isn't it???

Well we finally got a swingset out in the back for the kids and so far they are loving it! It took us about 7 ish hours to assemble which isn't too bad considering the directions say it should take between 6 and 12 hours to put together. And that was not with out a few mistakes and re-do's here and there. The good thing is that it's all done now!! We got a skiff of snow this morning so i had to take a picture of the snow from the slide... it's kinda cool.

Hoppy Easter!

We went to our city's annual Easter egg hunt. It was soo cold this year and we even had a bit of snow on the ground. We got there at shortly after 8 am to get our pictures taken with the Easter bunny. And then Lindzi and I sought refuge in the car until it was closer to 9. The actual hunt only lasts about five minutes.... because the eggs are just on the field and there are a lot of kids gathering. We hurried on out of there to avoid traffic delays and made it home at 9:11 am... not too bad. Desi was with us too, but didn't get her pic taken with the Easter bunny. I guess she's getting kind of old for that :-)

We had quite a few visitors this week. Some good friend of ours, Matt and Vicki and thier four kids came over on Wed. They went to Indiana to vacation and visit friends. John took them to the airport. Sorry i didn't get any pics of them.....next time. Then John's brother, David and his wife Janette and their six kids came over on Saturday night on their way home from vacation in Arizona. They spent the night and left in the morning to get home.... again no pictures...my bad. I should have thought of my blog, but the visits were short and sweet and not much time to think about photo ops. Then on the next Wednesday John picked up Matt and Vicki from the airport and we had a indoor BBQ since it was snowing. Then they headed back home before it got too late. They were anxious to get back home because they were so exhausted from traveling. We had a great time though. Then late late Wednesday night John's other brother Ken and his wife, Valena came and spent the night on their way to visit John's Dad. They have six kids also. The next morning John cooked a big breakfast of pancakes, sausage, and bacon. And the kids played. Desi had her best cousin Emma here and had a great time. The girls had a little snowball fight with all the fresh new snow and had a fun time! Lindzi loved the baby, little Jesse and her cousin, Vincent. It was nice to have them visit. John's Aunt Dixie ended up not coming because she didn't want to drive in the snowstorms... i sure don't blame her there.
