John's bday!

We celebrated on John's actual birthday... The girls and I made him a candy bar message. Then John and I went to lunch before he got called in to work.

Well one evening, John and I decided to take a hike.. While we were gone, Desi decided to make John a birthday cake. She makes a great chocolate cake from scratch! She even put 44 candles in the cake!! It was very smokey when he blew those out!!! It was sweet of her to make him a cake!!

we went to the Mayan to eat after the movie, "Cowboys and Aliens."



We stayed in the anniversary inn.. in the "captiol retreat" room. I loved it.... except for that statue on top of the TV stand seemed to just stare at you.. so he is turned around.

well due to girls camp, EFY and a family vacation 4 out of the 6 we invited, couldn't come. But Desi had her best friend Lexis here and her best cousin Emma here as well as Kelsey, a friend from the ward....plus Lexis' sister Sydney. It was a small group, but still had fun. We played the M&M game and a a game called LCR. Then they went downstairs and ate and watched a movie and then painted picture frames and had cake! During the week of Desi's bday we have had two cousins staying with us, Emma (13) and Alesha (11). It's been pretty good, except that Kassidy felt a little left out at times. So if we have cousins over next summer, it will be one at a time i think.

We met up with Eric at the mall... and then with Gma and Gpa Shaw and Steven for lunch.

Pioneer Days

We had fun walking downtown and checking out the horses.. We got to see a stage coach robbery and shootout too!
