Well I'm happy to say that Lindzi is doing excellent in her potty training!! She has only been training for 2 weeks now and for the most part is doing awesome! She is still having the occasional accident though. She is even staying dry most nights. This, from a few months ago when i first tried the whole potty training thing and that ended dismally after about two days because Lindzi ended up refusing to even sit on the potty. I guess she was just ready this time. She did show a lot of improvement in her communications and her knowing when she had gone in her diaper and overall a lot of growing up in those few months. Also in August she moved to a toddler bed and is doing good with that too. I can't believe how fast my baby is growing up! She gave up binkys a while back with no major trauma. One day when we were watching her cousin Mason (he was about 4 months old at the time), I had her give her binky to him since he had left his at home. And from then on she didn't need one. Occasionally she would ask for one and i would say "you don't need a binky because your not a baby like Mason is." And now she will say that too occasionally. She still likes her "chockie" milk in a sippy cup... so that will be the next big step into big girlhood! That and staying in nursery! She still does not like nursery and soon she will be out of it all together. Last week she escaped nursery! Luckily she knows right where to find me (in the primary room) and it is close to the nursery room. And this is not the first time she has escaped either!! The door knob has a child "proof" thing on it... but apparently it's not enough for this girl! So wish me luck with those last two endeavors because i will need it!!!

Dad and Steven's Birthday Celebration
Dad and Steven's birthday's are exactly a week apart.. so we usually do a party together sometime in between. We went to a park and had fun playing on the toys and also creating things with some little blocks and sticks. We also ate dinner... chicken soup and bread sticks...Yum. And of course cake and ice cream. The cake mom made was a sledge hammer because of all the hard work they have been putting into the new house. The cake was a pumpkin roll and a chocolate roll... both very yummy. Jonas and Lindzi like the ducks a lot and Jonas kept wanting to go back and see the ducks. Happy Happy Birthday Dad and Steve!!!
The whole group
some of our creations
Lindzi loved climbing the rocks
Desi on a swing of course.....

Meet Hannah!
We got a second dog earlier this month. Her name is Hannah and she is a jack russell terrier. Desi got her as an incentive to her getting braces... (her Dad's doing) Anyway Hannah has been a really good dog so far. She does have a condition in her left eye... it's called dry eye and she needs drops everyday, but it's not too bad. She doesn't bark hardly ever and Buster and her get along pretty good now that they are used to each other. They are both fixed so we wont be having puppies in the future.... Buster seems to really enjoy having a doggie friend to hang out with. She's about 4 years old and is already potty trained thank goodness... that was one of my stipulations to getting another dog. Anyway it really hasn't been a big change, having a second dog so all in all we are happy about this new addition to the family.

The party...
We celebrated Brenda and Amanda's birthdays on Sunday. They set up an obstacle course that the girls loved. And also some candy jars for guessing..... Dad won the first one, and Nick Forgacs won the second. We had sub sandwiches and chips and fruit and of course cake and ice cream!! It was fun!

Amanda and Brenda's birthday cake
Amanda wanted a Alice in Wonderland cake. So i spent the better part of two days creating her one!! Amanda and Brenda always celebrate their birthdays together because they are only 2 days apart, so the cake is for both of them.

The wedding cake

Here is the wedding cake for Brian and Rachel. It turned out great. It was my first wedding cake for someone that i was paid for. I'm glad everything worked out and i got the cake there safely.. i never usually transport my cakes so it was a bit challenging. I assembled the cake on site. I also made an xbox cake for Brian, the groom in the post below... check it out.

xbox cake
I made this xbox cake for a grooms cake, for my good friend's brother's wedding. Making and placing all of those dots on top was a little tedious and crazy making... and the letters on the front of the xbox were equally difficult, but it was worth it in the end. It was a lot of work, but i am happy with the outcome! And best of all so was the groom!!
