Well we fit in another hike before school starts. This one was longer and was harder mostly because it took longer. The kids actually got tired this time and they were glad to make it back to the vehicle. We had a friendly hiking companion join us.... a black dog that stuck with us from start to finish. He was so nice and friendly as if he accompanies hikers everyday (he probably does). He was fun to have along.
